As the first major business school to deliver an internationally recognized two-year MBA program with India, Schulich is acknowledged as a leading provider of transformational management education to many of India’s best and brightest minds.
Schulich offers the first year of its MBA program at its Hyderabad campus, taught by the same award-winning faculty members who regularly teach at our Toronto campuses. In the second year of the MBA India program, students study in Toronto and customize their studies by choosing and combining from Schulich’s 17 MBA specializations.
Students may also pursue the Graduate Diploma in Culture, Communication & Leadership in Canadian Business, a concurrent MBA diploma that provides an in-depth appreciation of the cultural differences, business practices, conventions and vocabulary needed to succeed in the Canadian business environment.
As the capstone of the MBA, students will also participate in a two-term strategic consulting project where teams complete a comprehensive strategic analysis for a real organization, using applied strategic thinking, real-world judgment and decision-making skills.
Accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Schulich’s MBA, India Campus is offered in partnership with the GMR School of Business in Hyderabad.

The general admission requirements for the MBA in India are listed below. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission, as space in each program is limited. A holistic approach is taken during the application review process and all components of the application are thoroughly reviewed.
- An undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum B average in the last two full years (or equivalent) of academic work.
- Applicants with 3-year degrees may be considered for admission with one year of work experience beyond the required minimum.
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
- Acceptable scores on all measures of the GMAT or GRE
- To send your GMAT or GRE test scores to the Schulich School of Business, please use the following process:
- GMAT: Use the search function within your GMAT/GMAC account to search for the Schulich School of Business when selecting your score recipients.

- Work Experience
- Minimum two years of relevant post-degree, full-time work experience or life experience
- Completion of the online application which requires:
- Essays (2 written, 1 timed written, 2 video)
- An up-to-date resume
- Two references
- Unofficial copies of transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions*
- Unofficial copies of GMAT or GRE scores*
- Proof of English language proficiency if studies were not completed in English.
*Official copies of these documents will be required if an applicant receives an offer to the program.

Applicants who have completed at least two years of full-time study at an accredited university in a country (or institution) where English is the official language of instruction are not required to submit an English proficiency test.
- Strong applicants whose first language is not English and do not meet the above language requirements may be considered for admission with the condition of completion of the MBA/Specialized Master’s Preparation Program offered by the York University English Language Institute.
Students who have graduated from Schulich within the last five years are eligible for the following:
- GMAT/GRE waiver
- If the student achieved a B+ or better GPA during their last two years of undergraduate studies at Schulich, or cumulatively across the Master of Management (MMgt) program
- A $150 application fee waiver

The MBA in India is a full-time program consisting of four academic terms. A term is equivalent to one semester, or 12 weeks.
The first two terms (Year 1) are taken at the Schulich India campus in Hyderabad, India. The final two terms (Year 2) of the program are taken at Schulich’s Keele campus in Toronto, Canada. Note that MBA in India students are granted $10,000 CAD in Year 1 financial aid. This will be deducted from Year 1 tuition.

Coverage for spouse/family is available. Health/Drug/Dental plan rates are subject to change. GSA costs are based on the 2023-2024 academic year and are subject to change.

Student Clubs
View details Hide detailsA number of student clubs have been set up at the India campus since its inception in 2010. These clubs include the Consulting Club and the Marketing Club which provide pro-bono consulting for small and mid-sized companies in India, as well as the Finance club that runs stock picking competitions. Note that clubs are student-run and student-governed. Consequently, their composition, activities and guest speakers change annually.
At Schulich’s Toronto campus, students will discover additional opportunities for personal and professional development through student-run conferences, clubs and events.

Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA)
Reaching Out MBA‘s mission is to increase the influence of the LGBT+ community in business by educating, inspiring, and connecting MBA students and alumni. The ROMBA LGBT+ Fellowship Program is a joint effort between prominent business schools and Reaching Out to develop the out LGBT+ and active ally business leaders of tomorrow. As a ROMBA partner school, Schulich is dedicated to award up to two fellowships to eligible incoming MBA students. Each Fellow will receive a minimum $20,000 scholarship and access to exclusive leadership programming including an all-expenses-paid retreat by ROMBA.
To be considered as a ROMBA Fellow, you must submit an MBA application for the Fall (September) intake and indicate your interest of being considered as a ROMBA Fellow to your admission officer. Access to Success
Access to Success Organization is a Toronto-based not-for-profit that supports the development of future leaders with disabilities and assistive tech. It manages several unprecedented initiatives, including up to $90,000 in annual Access to Success Fellowships for MBA students with disabilities at four of Canada’s top business schools, the world’s first study on disability inclusion in MBA programs, and ATS Labs – Canada’s first accelerator for accessibility startups. As an Access to Success partner school, Schulich is dedicated to award up to three fellowships to eligible incoming MBA students. Each Fellow will receive a $5,000 fellowship along with personalized recruiting support, networking, mentorship, and other exclusive opportunities provided by the Access to Success Organization.
The Access to Success Fellowship is established and managed by the Access to Success Organization, a not-for-profit that supports the development of future leaders with disabilities. This merit-based Fellowship celebrates outstanding students who identify as having a disability and have demonstrated excellence in academic, professional or extracurricular areas.
