Schulich MBA Program Ranked #1 in Canada in Responsible Business
Schulich’s MBA program was ranked # 1 in Canada according to the results of an annual global survey conducted by Corporate Knights, one of the world’s largest circulation magazines with an explicit focus on responsible business.
In addition to placing first in Canada, Schulich’s MBA Program also ranked among the top 15 in the world. Schulich finished 13th overall among the more than 200 business schools around the world evaluated by Corporate Knights.
The Better World MBA Ranking measured business schools using one main metric: the proportion of core courses from the MBA program that include sustainable development content ranging from environmental issues such as carbon pricing to social, ethical and diversity issues. There was also a bonus score for the percentage of a school’s recent graduates working in social impact roles or working for social impact organizations.
“Schulich is pleased to have once again been ranked number one in Canada,” said Detlev Zwick, Dean of the Schulich School of Business. “We’re proud of our school’s pioneering role in the field of responsible business and our reputation as one of the world’s leading centres of teaching, research and outreach in this area.”
Mike Valente, Director of Schulich’s MBA Program and Associate Professor of Business and Sustainability, was quoted in an article published in Corporate Knight’s ranking issue together with Schulich graduate Poulomi Sengupta (IMBA ’21), who is an ESG research analyst with Morningstar Sustainalytics.
