    The joint Juris Doctor / Master of Business Administration (Hennick JD/MBA) Program offered by the Schulich School of Business together with Osgoode Hall Law School features a unique combination of courses to prepare students for the demands of leading-edge careers in business, law and a variety of fields in which the two disciplines intersect.

    The full-time joint degree program gives you the added value of completing your studies in just four years – one year less than if both degrees were undertaken separately. Admission is required by both Schulich and Osgoode Hall Law School.

Hennick JD /MBA Program Fees (Schulich only)

Students in the full-time Hennick JD/MBA pay three terms of full-time tuition to Schulich and five terms of full-time tuition to Osgoode Hall Law School. A term is equivalent to one semester, or 12 weeks.

The Schulich MBA is designed to equip you with a common set of capabilities (core courses) necessary for effective management in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Electives allow students to gain a deeper understanding in a particular area of focus and fulfill requirements for a specialization(s) or diploma.

Degree Requirements

Year 1

Either:

  • MBA 1 Core Courses (27.00 credits)
  • 3.00 credits of Schulich electives

Or:

  • 9 courses of required Osgoode Year 1 curriculum

Note: All JD/MBA students are required to take MGMT 5500 in their first year of the program. This is a compulsory non-credit seminar course.

Year 2

Whichever curriculum listed above was not completed in Year 1.

Years 3 and 4

  • MBA 2 Core Courses (6.00 credits)
  • 9.00 credits of Schulich electives
  • 45 academic credits in Osgoode Hall, including:
    • LW 3820 3.00 Joint JD/MBA Seminar and other Upper Year courses referred to above under “Graduation Requirements”
  • Successful completion of the 40-hour Osgoode Public Interest Requirement (OPIR)
  • Successful completion of the Praxicum Requirements

Forté Foundation is a non-profit consortium of leading companies and top business schools working together to launch women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, opportunities, and a community of successful women. Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA)

Reaching-Out-MBA-Fellowship

Reaching Out MBA‘s mission is to increase the influence of the LGBT+ community in business by educating, inspiring, and connecting MBA students and alumni. The ROMBA LGBT+ Fellowship Program is a joint effort between prominent business schools and Reaching Out to develop the out LGBT+ and active ally business leaders of tomorrow. As a ROMBA partner school, Schulich is dedicated to award up to two fellowships to eligible incoming MBA students. Each Fellow will receive a minimum $20,000 scholarship and access to exclusive leadership programming including an all-expenses-paid retreat by ROMBA.

To be considered as a ROMBA Fellow, you must submit an MBA application for the Fall (September) intake and indicate your interest of being considered as a ROMBA Fellow to your admission officer. Access to Success

Access to Success

Access to Success Organization is a Toronto-based not-for-profit that supports the development of future leaders with disabilities and assistive tech. It manages several unprecedented initiatives, including up to $90,000 in annual Access to Success Fellowships for MBA students with disabilities at four of Canada’s top business schools, the world’s first study on disability inclusion in MBA programs, and ATS Labs – Canada’s first accelerator for accessibility startups. As an Access to Success partner school, Schulich is dedicated to award up to three fellowships to eligible incoming MBA students. Each Fellow will receive a $5,000 fellowship along with personalized recruiting support, networking, mentorship, and other exclusive opportunities provided by the Access to Success Organization.

The Access to Success Fellowship is established and managed by the Access to Success Organization, a not-for-profit that supports the development of future leaders with disabilities. This merit-based Fellowship celebrates outstanding students who identify as having a disability and have demonstrated excellence in academic, professional or extracurricular areas.
