Spotlight on Research 2024

Research @ Schulich is proud to present its annual Spotlight on Research report.

Highlighting the research achievements of Schulich School of Business faculty members from the 2023-2024 academic year, this year’s Spotlight on Research showcases the rich, eclectic, and high-quality research generated by Schulich faculty, and illustrates the myriad of ways in which Schulich professors have worked to tackle some of the most significant issues facing the world.

In the words of Dean Detlev Zwick, “research lies at the very heart of our schools’ vision of ‘Developing responsible leaders and ground-breaking ideas that reshape business and change the world’”.

In addition to celebrating our faculty’s achievements, this year’s Spotlight on Research contains in-depth profiles of researchers that have helped Schulich build its reputation as a globally respected home of academic research. These include:

– An in-depth profile of Marcia Annisette, who recently received the honour of University Professor
– An exploration of the historical and contemporary landscape of Indigenous entrepreneurship by Irene Henriques
– A deep dive spotlight into research on the use of language in marketing by Grant Packard
-On overview of the work being undertaken by Geoffrey Kistruck on “necessity entrepreneurs” in the Global South
