Schulich’s Newest Case Competition Targets Supply Chain Sustainability

Schulich is excited to announce the launch of a new case competition for graduate students passionate about supply chain management. The Sustainable Supply Chain Case Challenge offers graduate students from the Schulich School of Business and invited partner institutions the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to address a real-world case relevant to the future sustainability of supply chains.
During the challenge, teams of up to four students will analyze a real-world case problem while competing for top cash prizes. The competition culminates with the top four teams presenting recommendations to a panel of industry judges at the in-person finals on February 15, 2024, at the Schulich School of Business. Complete details of the competition can be found on the competition website. Team registration is now open until February 1st.
The competition is presented by the George Weston Ltd. Centre for Sustainable Supply Chains in collaboration with Schulich’s Supply Chain and Operations Management Club (SCOMC).
The competition is made possible through the generous support of industry sponsors including Lead Sponsor, Canadian National Railway (CN). CN is a world-class transportation leader and trade enabler with a demonstrated commitment to supporting social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
The competition is also supported by Partner Sponsor, the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT). Founded in 1958, CITT is a leading not-for-profit professional development association dedicated to the advancement of professionals and businesses in logistics.
“We are grateful for the support of industry sponsors, Canadian National Railway (CN), and CITT, for their generous contributions to benefit the experiential education of our students. The skill development and exploration of creative alternatives emerging from this event will help to make Canadian supply chains more sustainable and resilient,” said David Johnston, Research Chair & Director, George Weston Ltd. Centre for Sustainable Supply Chains.
