Schulich’s New Master’s Health Program Receives Accreditation, Offering Canadian Health Executive Designation to Graduates
The Schulich School of Business announced that its Master of Health Industry Administration (MHIA) program has been accredited by the Canadian College of Health Leaders. This accreditation allows MHIA graduates to work towards the highly regarded Canadian Health Executive (CHE) designation after their names.
The accreditation reflects the MHIA program’s commitment to excellence and its alignment with health industry standards. Graduates will now have the opportunity to enhance their professional credentials and distinguish themselves in the field of healthcare leadership, while receiving lifelong learning and career advancement support.
“This accreditation signifies the quality and rigour of our MHIA program,” says Amin Mawani, Director of Schulich’s Master of Health Industry Administration Program. “We’re proud to offer our graduates the opportunity to attain the valued CHE designation and further advance their careers in healthcare leadership.”
The accreditation by the Canadian College of Health Leaders solidifies Schulich’s position as a leading institution in healthcare leadership education, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and recognition needed to excel in their careers and make meaningful contributions to the healthcare industry.
The MHIA curriculum has also been recognized as having the requisite LEADS content. This decision follows a meticulous review of the MHIA program’s curriculum, affirming its alignment with the Leadership for Evidence-Based Decision Making (LEADS) framework – a nationally recognized leadership development model in healthcare. The approval paves the way for advanced standing for Schulich’s MHIA graduates in the Canadian Health Executive Program’s LEADS Learning and LEADS in Action Project requirements.
Schulich is a recognized leader in healthcare education and has been developing health industry leaders for the past two decades. This has been accomplished via the health industry specialization in Schulich’s MBA program, as well as through innovative executive development programs offered by Schulich ExecEd and the School’s new Master of Health Industry Administration degree.
