    Fatema Pirone is Vice President, Enterprise Digital at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).   • Jack Fraser

    Jack Fraser has over 30 years of experience as an operator and financier, primarily with digital commerce, FinTech, and P/SaaS companies. Jack is currently a Partner with BDC Capital’s late-stage Growth Venture CI Fund. Jack joined BDC Capital in January 2020, and since then, he has led investments in companies such as Hopper, Symend, Article, Paper, KOHO, RenoRun, Borrowell, DOZR, Pathfactory and #Paid.

    Jack started his career in corporate banking and then moved into operational management with several high-growth technology companies in Canada, the US, and the UK. Jack’s experience has been in developing digital-first strategies and operational transformation to enable market and product expansion initiatives in various Asian-Pacific, Europe, and North American countries. Prior to BDC Capital, Jack held various executive roles throughout his career, including COO, CFO, and Head of Corporate Development. Most recently, as the head of finance with SSENSE, a Québec-based global luxury fashion e-tailer. Jack has served as a corporate director for private, public and public-private partnership groups and as an operating partner for various venture capital and private equity groups

    Jack holds graduate degrees from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University.

  • Mellie Chow

    Mellie is the Executive Director of Competitive Product Research & Strategic Insights at Comcast where she developed Comcast INVENT™️ an Enterprise co-creation workshop for repeatable innovation at scale.

    She is also an angel investor/venture capitalist, entrepreneur, IT/Technology and Management/Strategy Consultant and Product Innovation Executive with 20+ years of experience across multiple industries including telecommunications & cable, utilities & power generation, banking, healthcare, government, and food.

    Mellie holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Kellogg (Northwestern) and the Schulich School of Business (York University). She is currently pursuing her executive leadership and management certification from MIT Sloan. Mellie now resides in Philadelphia but will always call Canada home.

  • Paul Pabla

    Paul Pabla is the CEO of ThoughtStorm, a management consulting & systems integration firm based in Toronto with offices in US and India. Paul’s primary responsibility is to grow the revenue stream and overall expansion.

    Prior to leading ThoughtStorm, Paul spent 20 years, leading business and IT projects for Public Sector and Enterprise clients.

    Paul holds an Executive MBA degree from Kellogg-Schulich.

  • Pam Laycock

    Pam Laycock is Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff at Torstar Corporation, where she is working with the leadership team to transform the organization for future growth and industry leadership. She has multi-disciplinary in the areas of strategy, transformation, change management, digital, new business development, brand and direct-to-consumer marketing, product management, and general management, working in both the book publishing and news media sectors and on the Canadian, US and UK businesses.

    Pam sits on the Board of Directors and Strategy Committee of the Girl Guides of Canada. She also sits on the board of directors for the North American Local Media Association. Pam holds the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She sits on the Executive Council for the Ontario Chapter of the ICD.  Pam has also been appointed to the Canadian Board Diversity Council’s Diversity 50.

    Pam has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. She is actively involved with the Schulich School of Business where she is President of the Schulich Global Alumni Network, a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, an Executive-in-Residence, and Instructor in leadership for the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA program. She is also the recipient of the Alumni Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution to the School.

    Chris Carder is a Serial Entrepreneur with more than 20 years’ experience in the Digital/Technology Sector and a sought-after Startup Advisor, Investor and Advisory Board Member. Chris is the past President & Co-Founder of ThinData (Canada’s largest email marketing services provider) – acquired by TC Media (Transcontinental) in 2008.

    Chris serves as Executive Director of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship with the Schulich School of Business and as Special Advisor on Entrepreneurship and Innovation to the Office of the President at York University. He is also a Venture Partner with Antler Canada.

  • Peyvand Melati

    Peyvand Melati is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and angel investor who has successfully launched multiple businesses. His expertise includes in-depth knowledge of commercialization and growth of companies in major vertical industries, with a focus on AI, IOT, Clean-Tech and Med-Tech. He is an experienced leader of the start-up process from initial ideation to launch. Peyvand has a particular knack for setting priorities, developing strategies and building teams to successfully execute. He is also the a GP with the Archangel Network of Funds –  a consortium of superangels and venture capitalists.

  • Daniella Dimitrov

    Daniella is a Mining Executive and Corporate Director and has more than 25 years of experience in building, leading and operating businesses in mining and financial services and has held various executive roles with a focus on strategy, finance, operations, corporate development and governance. Daniella’s previous roles include President and CEO, Interim CEO, CFO of multi mine gold/copper producers and a $2B+ mine developer, partner at a mining investment bank, Executive Vice-Chair of an iron ore developer, Chief Operating Officer of a national wealth management and capital markets firm. Since 2010, Daniella serves and has served as a director of nine companies in the natural resources, energy and chemicals industries. Daniella was chosen as one of the Top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining for 2016, was a Canada Board Diversity Council – 2016 Diversity 50 Candidate and has the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certification, an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business and a law degree from the University of Windsor.   • Susan Uthayakumar

    Susan Uthayakumar is MD, Chief Energy & Sustainability Officer at Prologis. She leads the company’s sustainability and energy solutions business. In this capacity, she is responsible for evaluating and scaling both existing and emerging energy solutions across the Prologis platform and for ensuring that Prologis continues to be the leader in sustainability in the logistic real estate industry. Prior to joining Prologis, Susan was president of Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Business Division. During her 16-year tenure with the company, she was instrumental in transforming Schneider Electric to a digital power and automation technology company by driving sustainability, efficiency and resiliency.

    Before that, she was CEO of Schneider Canada. Uthayakumar recently was recognized as a 2021 Environment+Energy Leader 100 Honoree for successfully delivering climate mitigation action to enterprise customers. Previously, Susan led strategy and M&A projects globally with McCain Foods Limited, an international leader in the frozen food industry, and held various leadership positions with Deloitte, a global advisory firm.

    Susan has an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University with a focus on international business practices. In addition, she holds a Master of Accounting (MAcc) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo.
