Ahhh, Magda. From the Globe to Schulich... will you ever really feel that it was the best choice? Whatever your decision, it was without doubt the best possible choice for the School. Personally, I can never ever forget your office... none in the School could compare... those carefully organized folders... meticulously organized, detailed down to the last period. I respected and admired your total grasp of the politics of the central administration and their demands on the School. I also respected your fairness in all things “Human Resources”. You indulged me with patience beyond anything that should have been expected, particularly where emptying my office and ultimately getting those 27+ boxes of files to York’s Central Archives was concerned. And you tolerated my impatience with rules, regulations and forms! Thank you Magda, and thanks to your better half who let slip that he once thought I bore a vague resemblance to Annette Benning.
