OSOTF (Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund) Guidelines

Many awards listed indicate that students must satisfy OSOTF residency requirements to apply. The “OSOTF awards” refer to a class of awards, which have resulted from Ontario government’s “matching” program established in the late 1990’s. These awards are restricted to individuals who meet all of the following criteria at the time of application: 1) Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident of Canada or Protected Person; 2) Resident of Ontario as per OSAP guidelines; 3) Demonstrates financial need.

Additional Sources of Funding

In addition to scholarships, awards, and bursaries, students can obtain financial support through provincial loan programs such as Ontario Student Assistance Program, private lenders such as banks, or part-time job opportunities.
