Host an Information Session

Information Sessions provide your organization with the opportunity to conduct a targeted recruitment presentation to a specific group of Schulich students on campus.   Information Sessions are typically held at two times throughout the day: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm and 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, however, alternative times can be arranged based on room availability.

Event Space

The following locations are available to book at the Schulich School of Business and York University on a first come first served basis:

Robert R. McEwen Auditorium, Schulich Tiered fixed seating 100 – 300 ppl.
Private Dining Room, Schulich Flexible space – theatre style or table rounds 50 – 100 ppl.
Executive Dining Room, Schulich Flexible space – theatre style or table rounds 100 – 150 ppl.
X106 Classroom, Schulich Tiered fixed seating 50 – 80 ppl.
Alan Lambert Classroom (N109), Schulich Non-tiered flexible space – classroom set-up with tables 50 – 100 ppl.
W132 Classroom, Schulich Tiered fixed seating with tables 50 – 85 ppl.
Contact Room, Underground Restaurant, Student Centre Flexible space – theatre style or table rounds 75 – 300 ppl.

** Alternate rooms may be provided, depending on space availability.

Standard audio visual equipment, advertising, professional event management, student registration table with staff, and a RSVP list are all provided to you with our compliments.  You must, however, be targeting Schulich degree earning students at your session.

Advertising

The Centre for Career Design (CCD) communicates information sessions and recruiting events to the student community via multiple channels.  Employers are also welcome to provide the CCD with additional posters for display.

Audio Visual Equipment

For presentation ease, your organization is provided with complimentary use of standard on-site audio visual equipment, such as a computer, projector, stand and wireless microphone, and a DVD player.  For your convenience, you are welcome to bring your laptop and connect to the on-site projection system.  Please notify Your CCD Account Manager of your audio visual needs in advance.  The building is wireless, enabling an internet connection in all presentation spaces, but prior account registration is required.

Parking & Driving Instructions

Underground parking is available at a daily rate in the Student Services Parking Structure, which connects underground to the Schulich School of Business. Click here for additional information.

Catering

The Catering Department at the Executive Learning Centre, Schulich School of Business, offers a full range of food and beverage options for your event needs.  Once your information session has been booked with the Centre for Career Design, please contact the catering department to place your order. Dependent on room choice, a set-up fee may be applied by the Catering Department when hosting your session.
