View details Hide detailsDesign Thinking is a model of designing, testing, and implementing ideas, processes, or products that involves many iterations and non-linear thinking. The steps in design thinking include empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing. Leveraging the principles of Design thinking, Career Design is the art of creating a career path that aligns with your values, interests, and personal & professional goals.
The NACE Competencies for a Career-Ready Workforce are a set of core competencies that have been endorsed by employers, and support lifelong career success. The NACE Competencies include: Career & Self-Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, and Technology.
Schulich Resume Template
View details Hide detailsThe Schulich Resume Template must be used by all students who would like their resume included in resume books that are created by the CCD and shared with employers and recruiters, including at/for specific recruitment fairs and info sessions. Font, formatting, and sections must remain unchanged – though students with significant work experience/years of experience are welcome to extend the template to two pages in length.

Professional Portrait Studio
View details Hide detailsAt the Centre for Career Design, we recognize that professional portraits can be expensive and difficult to organize, which is why we are happy to provide this convenient service, free-of-charge, to all Schulich students. In May of 2024, the Centre for Career Design installed an Iris Air portrait studio. This state-of-the-art technology allows students to take and edit professional-quality photos of themselves in a matter of minutes. Learn more about this free resource here.
