Schulich’s George Weston Ltd. Centre Sponsors Leading Supply Chain Industry Conferences
Schulich will have a presence at a number of key supply chain management industry conferences in 2022. The George Weston Ltd. Centre for Sustainable Supply Chains at Schulich will be sponsoring and presenting at conferences for industry practitioners in collaboration with educational partners Supply Chain Canada and CITT.
Supply Chain Canada, Leadership Series 3.0 events
The Centre is a title sponsor for five Leadership Series 3.0 events this year in partnership with Supply Chain Canada. Schulich will be sponsoring the Digital Transformation of Supply Chain, Sustainable Supply Chain, Women in Supply Chain, Supplier Diversity and Public Sector Supply Chain events, which bring together industry practitioners to discuss emerging issues in supply chain management.
The most recent installment of the series, Leadership Series 3.0: Sustainable Supply Chain, was held on February 24, 2022, and welcomed over 690 attendees. The event featured a panel session moderated by George Weston Ltd. Centre Director, David A. Johnston, entitled “Supply Chain Decarbonization to Achieve Net Zero,” which featured panelists from Telus, BC Hydro and BASF Canada.
Canada’s Logistics Conference 2022 (CITT)
In addition to the Leadership Series events, the George Weston Ltd. Centre and Schulich’s MSCM program will be jointly sponsoring Canada’s Logistics Conference 2022. The annual conference, organized by CITT, will be held in-person in Montreal from June 8-10, 2022. Schulich faculty members, David A. Johnston and M. Johnny Rungtusanatham, will be delivering a conference presentation entitled, “Planning for Future Supply Shocks: Building the Capability to Be Resilient and Sustainable,” as part of the conference program.
As part of the sponsorship agreement for these events, the George Weston Ltd. Centre has arranged for opportunities for students and alumni of Schulich’s Master of Supply Chain Management to participate in the conferences to aid in their career networking and professional development.
