Xuran (Shirley) Chen
Xuran (Shirley) Chen is a Master of Marketing student at Schulich School of Business. She holds a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies degree with specialization in Finance from Western University. Before joining MMKG program, Shirley worked as a Marketing Specialist in specific programs for Sutherland Corporation and Toronto’s local real estate company. She has great enthusiasm for digital marketing and social media marketing and has led a six-person marketing team to complete many successful marketing campaigns. Out of work, she is also a fan of art exhibitions and theatre performances.
Jaspreet Kaur Jhass
Jaspreet is a Master of Marketing candidate at Schulich School of Business. She graduated from University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Management Studies in Marketing, with distinction. Through a combination of internships and full-time work, Jaspreet has gained experience in devising integrated marketing solutions for industries like Alliances, Mass Media, IT Distribution and Music Licensing. She is particularly interested in understanding consumer behavior, brand management and market research. With her experience and learnings, Jaspreet aims to create impactful marketing campaigns that connect with the consumers at a deeper level.
Tanya Kalra
Tanya Kalra is a Master of Marketing candidate at Schulich School of Business. She earned a Bachelors of Management degree from H.R College of Commerce and Economics from India. Simultaneously, she worked as a marketing consultant for Vogue, Condé Nast India – a globally renowned fashion magazine for 1.5 years. Business acumen has always been a constant for her, both in terms of her professional workspace as well as the plethora of extracurricular activities that she engaged with in college. Equipped with the MMKG degree, she intends on crafting marketing strategies that will help global businesses stay ahead of the curve.
Zainab Khan
Zainab is a Master’s candidate in the Master of Marketing Program at the Schulich School of Business. Driven by her passion for marketing and innovation, Zainab can build a visual ecosystem of ideas and tell a compelling story. Prior to Schulich, Zainab completed her Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Toronto and started her career in the entertainment industry. Currently, she is the marketing manager for one of the leading film festivals in Canada with a strong background in communications, marketing and production. Outside of work, Zainab is a yoga enthusiast and world traveler.
Anastasiia Filimonenko
Anastasiia is a Master of Marketing student at Schulich School of Business. Prior to Schulich, Anastasiia earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from SolBridge International School of Business in Daejeon, South Korea. Anastasiia has gained experience in marketing through her academic and non-academic work. She worked collaboratively with the marketing department at Champion Angler, a Russian-based fishing tackle brand, to develop marketing campaigns and create content for the company’s owned and shared media. Anastasiia is particularly interested in the ways brands devise and implement marketing, branding, and public relations strategies in the Sports industry.
Abeera Khan
Abeera Khan is a Master of Marketing candidate at Schulich School of Business. She earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Marketing and Management degree from Newcastle University, UK, in 2018. Owing to her journey from UK to Pakistan and then to Canada, Abeera has gained exposure to a number of different roles in different industries and cultures. After exploring industries such as telemarketing, beauty, technology and publishing, she found that she is particularly interested in planning and executing marketing campaigns for FMCG goods, more specifically in the beauty industry.
Mariana Kurobasa
Mariana Kurobasa is a Master of Marketing Candidate at the Schulich School of Business. She recently graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Communications. Since starting at Schulich, Mariana has participated in a series of case competitions involving clients from varying industries. She has also spent her time volunteering for the Canadian Marketing Association as a brand ambassador where she works to bridge the gap between academics and employment. Most recently, Mariana has started an internship where her responsibilities include creating and implementing a digital media strategy for a sustainable fashion brand.
Aishwarya Mani
Aishwarya Mani is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. Before Schulich, Aishwarya spent 1.5 years working in Account Management at a digital advertising agency. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communication from Symbiosis International University majoring in Advertising. During her undergraduate studies, Aishwarya has interned with various NGOs and media/ advertising agencies in the Middle East and India. With a strong passion for culture, creativity and social media, she aspires to merge these interests with advertising to create impactful campaigns
Julia Orsini
Julia Orsini is a Master of Marketing Candidate at Schulich School of Business. She recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science, English and Italian Culture and Communication. This academic year, Julia was the Social Events Manager for the Graduate Business Council and enjoyed helping curate and promote virtual events to keep the Schulich community engaged. She comes from a theatrical and political background and hopes to use this interdisciplinary background within the marketing industry.
Samantha De Gregorio
Samantha De Gregorio is a Master of Marketing candidate at Schulich School of Business. Prior to Schulich, Samantha graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English and Media studies, with distinction. During her undergraduate studies Samantha was a Production Intern at The Marilyn Denis Show, The Social and 104.5 CHUM FM with Roger & Marilyn. Following graduation, Samantha has worked as a National Brand Partnership Manager and Marketing Manager simultaneously for Canada’s leading foodservice provider. Samantha is particularly interested in the ways branding and videography marketing impact B2B and B2C strategic decision-making for the future.
Robbie Middlestadt
Robbie is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. He recently graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Specialization) in Media, Information and Technoculture (MIT), with distinction. At Western, Robbie gained experience in marketing through multiple classes and as the Communications Director of the Zeta Eta chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. He also has experience in the retail industry, working for Walking on a Cloud’s e-commerce division as a customer service and sales manager. In his spare time, Robbie enjoys following the NFL and playing various sports, including basketball and flag football.
Kristina Naumovski
Kristina is a Master of Marketing Candidate at the Schulich School of Business. She recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with distinction, and a specialization in Marketing. Kristina completed two co-op work terms during her undergraduate degree. She spent four months as a Marketing Coordinator at the Ontario Investment Office and eight months at Sun Life Financial in a Corporate Communications role. Kristina also has prior experience as both a Teaching Assistant in Marketing and a Research Assistant, where she explored both Marketing and Human Resources. Kristina enjoys spending time with friends and family, and has a passion for continuous learning and travel.
Ahmad Noshad
Ahmad earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Law from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. He has experience in a wide range of industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Packaged Goods, Educational Research and digital advertising. Ahmad is particularly interested in the field of Artificial Intelligence and the integration within marketing through the use of chatbots and speech recognition. He is passionate about educational causes in third world countries and has taught at multiple underprivileged schools in Pakistan while pursuing his undergraduate degree. Ahmad is also enthusiastic about soccer and enjoys travelling and reading.
Puja Patel
Puja Patel is a Master of Marketing Candidate at the Schulich School of Business. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from the Goodman School of Business at Brock University. From her internships and co-ops, Puja has experience in various industries such as Fashion & Entertainment, Post-Secondary Institutions, Banking, Consumer Packaged Goods and Consulting. Following graduation, Puja also worked for a small company that specializes in analytics consulting, where she aided in creating and executing marketing and branding activities. In her spare time, Puja likes to watch basketball, read books, and enjoys baking.
Veronica Johnson
Veronica Johnson is a Master of Marketing candidate at Schulich School of Business. Prior to Schulich, Veronica earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Certificate in Business from Queen’s University. Coming from a Psychology background, Veronica has extensive research experience. Since graduating from Queen’s, Veronica has worked for a small company, where she aids in planning and executing marketing initiatives. Veronica is hoping to combine her passion for research with a Masters of Marketing to enter the field of marketing research. In her spare time, Veronica volunteers at a local cat shelter and sings in charity concerts.
Nadim Lalani
Nadim is a Master of Marketing Candidate at the Schulich School of Business. He earned an Honors in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University. Through a combination of internships and full-time work, Nadim has experience in a wide range of industries including Hospitality & Tourism, Consumer Packaged Goods, brand strategy consulting, and digital advertising. Nadim is particularly interested in the ways brands can use data to drive strategic marketing decisions and develop personalized relationships with consumers. In his spare time, Nadim is an avid hockey fan and enjoys creative writing and playing golf.
Danielle Ndende
Danielle is a Master of Marketing student at the Schulich School of Business. She earned an MBA at Roosevelt University in Chicago and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Central Africa. Vincent Tsui
Vincent is a Master of Marketing student at the Schulich School of Business. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of Toronto, specializing in international business management. In the past, Vincent has held positions in content curation and translation for both corporate and non-governmental organizations, specifically on topics of poverty and giving the LGBTQ+ community a voice. As someone who has spent most of his upbringing studying abroad, Vincent has grown to value testing the boundaries and structures of knowledge to offer a fresh perspective on marketing innovation. In his spare time, Vincent enjoys dragon boating and traveling.
Sasan Navidi
Sasan is a Master of Marketing student at the Schulich School of Business. He holds an Honours Degree in Psychology from York University. At the Schulich School of Business, Sasan has been extensively involved in case competitions with external company clients. He has developed his creative skills in video production, digital marketing, and social media management through his work positions at Boredom Lab, Phyxable, and Lorex. Sasan strives to integrate his technical skills with his understanding of human behaviour to design and implement creative marketing strategies.
Akriti Parida
Akriti is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Engineering degree from BMS College of Engineering. Before starting with the program, Akriti worked as a Data Analyst at Accenture in India for four years and also worked in Human Resources for a not-for-profit organization on weekends.
She has focused on leveraging the latest technological innovations like analytics, machine learning and AI to transform how we understand consumer behavior and how we build effective marketing strategies now and in the future.
Lindsay Tohana
Lindsay is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. Before attending Schulich, she earned an Honors Bachelor of Arts from Western University, specializing in Media Studies. Lindsay has held several paid and volunteer-based positions in the field of marketing and communications. Specifically, she worked as a Marketing Intern at 9 Story Media Group, one of the leading creators, producers, and distributors of children’s television content, for two consecutive summers. Currently, she works as a PR Intern at PK Communications. Aside from work, Lindsay is passionate about art, fashion, and traveling.
Jamie Young
Jamie is a Master of Marketing student at the Schulich School of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree at Queen’s University with a Major in Sociology. As part of her undergraduate thesis, Jamie investigated the sociological effects of digital marketing on the cosmetic industry. In addition to other professional roles, Jamie’s position as the Managing Director of GTA Home Services Inc. is noteworthy as she played an integral role in the company’s growth and development since its conception. Currently, Jamie is a finalist in The Great Canadian Sales Competition. In her spare time, Jamie has a strong passion for volunteerism and travel.
Laila Youssef
Laila is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Management degree at Dalhousie University, where she specialized in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Coming from an international entrepreneurial background and with her strong passion for photography Laila is able to provide creative marketing solutions. She has recently helped develop the social and digital marketing strategy for a social Enterprise in Egypt called “Neya” and has just became a Communications Manager for “Streets of Toronto”, a digital and advertising company, where she leads projects that help showcase the city’s culture, arts and lifestyle.
Nicholas Bird
Nicholas is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. Before joining the MMKG program, Nicholas completed a Bachelor of Arts Honors at the University of Guelph studying psychology and marketing. He has held positions with PepsiCo and the University of Guelph, as well as with a national insurance valuation company. Nicholas carries a strong background in consumer behaviour, marketing communications, and market research.
Madeleine Cruickshank
Madeleine is a Master of Marketing candidate at the Schulich School of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at McGill University, where she specialized in Art History, English Cultural Studies, and Sociology. Madeleine combines her liberal arts background with her passion for new technology to offer a fresh perspective on marketing innovation. Madeleine has experience developing the social and digital marketing strategy of a cryptocurrency startup called Hedgie, and editing McGill’s Art History department journal. More recently, Madeleine has developed a keen interest in case competitions, becoming a national finalist in the L’Oréal Brandstorm competition in late 2019.
Priya Rajkumar
Priya is a Master of Marketing student at the Schulich School of Business. Before this program, she received both an Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Media Studies and a Diploma in Media Communications at the University of Guelph-Humber. During her academic career, she has placed in several case competitions, most notably winning first at the Network of International Business Schools Worldwide Case Competition. She carries a strong understanding of experiential marketing, advertising, and marketing communications. Currently, Priya is a Research Assistant at Schulich where she is working on a categorization project for the Future of Marketing Magazine.
Qianhao (Cristine) Ren
Cristine is a Master of Marketing candidate at Schulich School of Business. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Nanjing University. During undergraduate, she was the VP of Debate Association and a public speaking trainer. She also worked in sales, digital marketing and project management in companies such as Nissan AFC. She is now working at Centre For Social Innovation as a community animator and Schulich Pride Alliance as a partnership manager. Away from work, Cristine is passionate about every small happiness in life, and Cristiano.
Parnika Sharma
Parnika is currently in the Master of Marketing (MMKG) program at the Schulich School of Business. After starting her studies in Medical Sciences, she completed an Honours Double Major in Psychology and Sociology at Western University. She holds the title of Canada’s Next Top Blockchain Exec, after competing in a national case competition, and has previously worked as a Social Media & Influencer Marketing Specialist for a lifestyle publishing company. She aspires to merge both data-driven marketing analytics with an understanding of the everyday human behaviour, to develop and implement effective marketing strategy.
Andrea Ascarrunz
Andrea is a Master of Marketing student at the Schulich School of Business. She holds a Bachelor in International Business Administration, and in International Marketing and Logistics Administration from Universidad de La Sabana in Bogota, Colombia. Prior to becoming an editor for the Future of Marketing Magazine, Andrea worked in the consumer insight, branding, marketing analytics, and business development areas of companies such as Pernod Ricard and Nielsen. She developed a research paper studying consumer perceptions, behaviors and trends presented and published at the Latin America congress of ESOMAR (European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research) and WARC (World Advertising Research Center).
Peiling Cai
Peiling is a Master’s candidate in the Master of Marketing (MMKG) program at the Schulich School of Business. With a combined passion for creativity, innovation, and marketing – Peiling is a creative story-teller. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Management at Western University while leading as the Head of Graphic Design for the launch of a renowned Business & Fashion Magazine viewed by thousands of students. She carries a strong background in marketing communications, customer experience, and data analytics at both TD and Bell Media. Away from work, Peiling is an avid artist and world traveler.
Asif Chowdhury
Asif is a Master of Marketing student at Schulich School of Business. He brings more than six years of experience in brand management, communications and public relations from both corporate and development sectors. Besides his studies, Asif is working as a brand and communications consultant with the United Nations where he was previously leading a media and communications team focused on design and delivery of audience-driven integrated communication campaigns. Early in his career, Asif’s exposure to brand innovations and strategies while working for FMCG giants like Nestlé kicked-off his marketing quest. He is a passionate traveler and an aviation enthusiast.
Shiwei Zhai
Shiwei is a student of Master of Marketing (MMKG) at the Schulich Business School. He earned his marketing bachelor degree at Lebow College of Business in the United States. During his five years of academic life, he participated in Markstrat and Mike’s Bike, two business simulation competitions, and helped his teams win the first place and the second place accordingly with his insights into marketing. In addition, Shiwei has worked as a marketing associate at 360 Marketing & PR, a professional marketing firm in the United States. Shiwei is enthusiastic and passionate especially about digital marketing.
Ya Chen (Amy) Zhang
Amy is a student of the Master of Marketing program at the Schulich School of Business. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with specialization in Finance and Economics from University of Toronto. Prior to joining MMKG program, Amy worked as a Marketing Coordinator for a leading FinTech payment company that connects North American businesses with Chinese consumers by allowing them to accept the most popular Chinese payment methods. She has worked on various online and offline marketing campaigns for clients such as Cadillac Fairview, Sightseeing Toronto, AGO and many more. Amy is also a Yoga enthusiast and a YouTube influencer.
Natasha Andrade
Natasha is a student of the Master of Marketing program at the Schulich School of Business and brings significant experience in the sales, marketing and internet industry. She spent 6 years at Yahoo handling the Search and Native Advertising for the North America and India region. During this time, Natasha developed online marketing strategies for local and international brands. Natasha completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Studies, Psychology and English Literature and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. While studying at the Schulich School of Business, she participated in the 2018-2019 Dean’s Cup Case Competition where her team placed top 5.
Naser Azad
Naser is a student of the inaugural Master of Marketing program at the Schulich School of Business and holds an MBA degree in finance from North South University Bangladesh. Prior to joining Future of Marketing (FOM), Naser worked as Brand Manager for Berger Paints Ltd, where he managed a product portfolio to achieve sales and brand objectives. Previously he has worked for British American Tobacco as an employer branding officer and Nestlé as a marketing & sales partner for Supply Chain. Naser has participated in the Dean’s Cup Case Competition at Schulich School of Business in 2018-2019 and his team managed to be in amongst the top 5 teams. He is passionate about marketing, entrepreneurship, sports, and traveling.
Nishanth Bharadwaj
Nishanth holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Finance from Swansea University, United Kingdom. Prior to becoming an editor for the Future of Marketing Magazine, Nishanth was a marketing/business development manager for a creative services agency in India, pitching and developing marketing strategies for start-ups. Nishanth was also a tax analyst working at EY, responsible for end-to-end delivery of tax analysis of hedge funds. Nishanth brings significant experience of journalistic standards to the Future of Marketing Magazine due to his time as the youngest journalist at Deccan Chronicle, a leading, national English daily in India, handling the business and technology desk. In addition, Nishanth is the graduate representative of International Affairs at the Schulich School of Business, operating as a liaison between the school’s graduate international students and the school’s outreach programs such as Culture Crawl and the Buddy program.
Mallika Kumar
Mallika is a Master of Marketing (MMKG) student at Schulich School of Business, York University. She has led integrated marketing for 4+ years for global clients leveraging smart synergies of targeted offline, online, PR, social media & multi-channel marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree and Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing from University of Delhi. She has delivered exceptional results by co-creating breakthrough data-driven research analysis and strategies for clients such as Delmonte, Canada Dry, Dhgate.com, Kruger and many more. In “life beyond work”, Mallika is an avid reader and a basketball enthusiast.
Dani Matti
Dani is a student of Canada’s inaugural Master of Marketing program at the Schulich School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with specializations in Supply Chain Management and Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Mount Royal University in Calgary Alberta. Dani spent two years working as a Consultant and Project Coordinator/Controller for Hitachi Solutions Canada, where he coordinated and monitored the efforts of project managers and consultants. In addition, Dani spent one year working as a Business Analyst for Imperial Oil and Devon Energy, where he created and executed strategic and tactical plans that resulted in optimizing business opportunities. Dani also has a lifestyle blog and writes topics on storytelling, health, and career searching, and has a goal to one day be a published author.
Mearon Naman
Mearon is a student of Canada’s inaugural Master of Marketing program at the Schulich School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Psychology from York University. Prior to becoming an editor for the Future of Marketing Magazine, Mearon spent eight years working at TD Bank in both retail banking and commercial banking. Mearon is also a published writer whose work has appeared in the Ottawa Art Gallery, a former poet-in-residence at Arc Magazine, and a former Team Toronto member for the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. In addition, Mearon is the graduate Ombudsman for the Schulich School of Business, operating as a liaison between the school’s graduate students and the school’s Career Development Centre.
Swati Virvadekar
Swati is a Master of Marketing (MMKG) student at Schulich School of Business. She holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from Binghamton University, USA. Prior to joining MMKG program, Swati worked for over 8 years in various technical roles such as software developer and project manager for leading banking and payment industry firms in Singapore and USA. She has also worked on creating engaging user experience for web platforms. Swati has a good understanding of Data analytics and Social media marketing. She is a Yoga and running enthusiast and a proud mother of a four-year-old son.
