What’s Happening? When? Who? What Should I Do?
Entrance Funding Once admitted Domestic Students Incoming domestic students enrolled in Schulich Master’s programs (excluding the Master of Accounting – MAcc) will be invited to apply for entrance funding during the admissions process.

Log in to your Schulich Profile Account and complete the Entrance Funding Application Form in the “Manage Application” section.

International applicants are automatically considered for all merit-based entrance scholarships and awards—no separate application is required.

Study Permits & Visas
As soon as accepted/paid International
Students
  1. Begin your Canadian study permit application as soon as possible after admission. Processing times can be unpredictable and lengthy – we recommend applying at least 4-5 months before your program begins. Late applications risk being refused or withdrawn.  
  2. Obtain your PAL & Prepare Documentation: There are a number of documents required with your study permit application. It can take time to prepare this documentation. Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) – you must include a PAL with your study permit application. This document will be available in your MyFile account once you have accepted your offer and paid your confirmation deposit. 

    Other important documents include proof of funds, study plan, and country-specific documents. 

  3. Attend Study Permit Webinar: All international students are STRONGLY encouraged to attend a Study Permit Webinar with Schulich’s licensed immigration advisors as early as possible to understand how to prepare a strong study permit application and tips to avoid a refusal.

Apply for Graduate Housing As soon as accepted/paid If Applicable
  1. Review your housing options here. Visit the YorkU Housing Services website for details on occupancy, rates and lease term information.
  2. Fill out the housing application for newly admitted students.
Official Documents Submission Guidelines
As soon as accepted/paid All Students

The Schulich School of Business requires all post-secondary academic transcripts showing degree conferred/obtained to be sent to us as part of your application package.

The due date to provide outstanding official documents to clear the conditions on your admission offer is before the end of your first term of studies.

Failure to provide the official documents will result in an enrolment block being placed on your record for your second term.

Attend a Smart Start Webinar
Various dates available 2-3 months before the start of classes (check schedule sent by email) All Students Smart Start is a mandatory session where you’ll learn about important program details and expectations. You must book your Smart Start session to receive enrolment details and access to Schulich resources and platforms.

Check your e-mail for an invitation to register from studentservices@schulich.yorku.ca.

Course Enrolment
2 months before the start of classes, and/or once you receive your email from studentservices@schulich.yorku.ca with your enrolment instructions. All Students Student & Enrolment Services will send you your course schedule and instructions on how to enrol in courses.
Academic Integrity Modules
2 months before the start of class and/or once you receive your email from studentservices@schulich.yorku.ca with a link to the Academic Integrity Modules. All Students All Schulich students will be required to complete 60-90 minutes of academic integrity modules prior to the start of term. These modules will help to instill the academic values and expectations of becoming a Schulich student. Watch for an email for more details and an invite to join!
Pre-Arrival Webinar
2 months before the start of classes (check schedule sent by email) International
Students
  1. This online session will address your arrival questions related to topics such as accommodations, study permits, health coverage and travel to Toronto.
  2. Watch for dates and details to be e-mailed to you from Student & Enrolment Services.
International Student
Orientation
One week before the start of classes (check schedule) International Students
  1. International Student Orientation – New to Canada, is hosted by the International Relations team, and is part of your Ineō Orientation. It’s a chance for us to welcome you to Schulich and support you in your transition to studying within the Canadian context.
  2. Watch for details to be emailed to you closer to the start of term.
Ineō Orientation
One week before the start of classes (check schedule) All Students Ineō is a mandatory orientation where you’ll learn about important program details and expectations. It’s also a chance to meet your new colleagues. Watch for details to be sent via e-mail.
