Dear Rick: What a long journey we've been on together, starting way back in the Management Science area at the University of Waterloo when I was doing my MASc and you were running CESSIT (whatever that stood for; I can no longer recall). When I start in the Faculty of Administrative Studies in July of 1988, it was great to have a familiar face among my colleagues -- and it has been my great privilege to have had you as a friend through these many many years since. Some to commiserate with, share a joke with, and count on for support through thick and thin. I look forward to hearing how you find retirement; you can give me tips so I'm ready when my turn comes.
