Congratulations on your retirement Alan. Wow, such an illustrious career. You put SEEC on the map both at Home and abroad. I remember first interviewing You for York’s Internationalization strategy report because you were leading the university’s efforts to break into foreign markets. Little did I know then I would become part of your team post retirement and become your India person. Remember our trip to Hyderabad - a 45 minute flight followed by a three hour drive to cover the Short distance between the airport and our hotel with stop and go traffic and horns blaring. Well, we kept our sense of humour!! Thank you so much for your support and guidance. It was a joy working with you - compassionate, brilliant, willing to listen and most of all that accent and wicked sense of British humour. Stay well Alan and enjoy you’re exciting travels when the world opens up again. We will celebrate when we can do it.
