I have had the pleasure of knowing Alan for nearly a decade, intermittently, ever since the initial spade work towards establishing Schulich’s presence in India started. I recall our many pleasant meetings in Toronto a well as India, over lunches in Toronto, during the India Advisory Council meetings and over many a pleasant dinner in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
His towering and winsome personality won him a permanent place in my heart as a friend in Toronto. His simple, unassuming and uncomplicated personality made interacting with him as much a pleasure personally as professionally.
As you move on to equally or more interesting roles in life Alan, I wish you and your loved ones serene, meaningful and happiest of times head.
