Thesis Topic
Platform Governance and its Implications for Ecosystem Growth, Evolution and Generativity
Research Interests – Work in Progress
My research interests lie at the intersection of strategy and innovation within the digital economy, with a particular focus on value co-creation in platform ecosystems. My graduate research has centered on two closely related directions: 1) exploring the implications of platform ecosystems as new forms of organizing and 2) developing a nuanced understanding of how platform ecosystems are governed. My dissertation specifically investigates how platform governance affects ecosystem-level outcomes such as growth, evolution & generativity. Through various governance-oriented studies I seek to contribute towards an ecosystem perspective that reflects platform firms’ agency and highlights the strategic decisions and critical capabilities developed by platform firms to nurture ecosystem vitality.
