Aleksandrs Jaunkalns
Prior to Schulich, Aleksandrs worked for two years as a Financial Analyst, then Finance Manager of a successful start-up company in Toronto. He also held Analyst positions with the RBC Capital Markets and RBC Global Risk Management teams for several years.
With his background in corporate finance, Aleksandrs decided to pursue a graduate degree to broaden his knowledge of the industry, with the ultimate goal of building a career in institutional investment in real estate. He chose the MREI program for the opportunities to learn directly from industry professionals, and also to connect with real estate and infrastructure leaders and the Schulich alumni network, who remain very active in the School.
In his community, Aleksandrs volunteers on the Board of Directors of the Latvian Credit Union, where he also sits on the internal auditing committee and as the Chair of the Finance Committee.
Aleksandrs holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) specializing in Finance from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada.
