Ahmed Zayed
Ahmed is a talented and results-oriented professional with over 13 years of experience in designing, detailing, managing and directing diverse, multi-billion dollar developments.
Ahmed has practiced architecture and design management in four different cities, the most recent of which was Dubai, U.A.E., where he worked as a Senior Design Manager for the Investment Corporation of Dubai. During this tenure, Ahmed managed the design and construction award process of a diverse portfolio of developments, including: One Za’beel – an iconic mixed-use development that houses an ultra-luxury hotel, high-end luxury apartments, Grade AAA offices and the longest habitable cantilever in the world; and Deira Enrichment – a five million square foot master plan development spanning 151 acres of land and comprising 29 mixed-use plots on historic waterfront lands.
Ahmed joined the MREI program to gain a holistic knowledge of real estate and infrastructure development and to enhance his development experience and capabilities. He is the Schulich Graduate Business Council Representative for his MREI class.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Architecture focusing on sustainable and environmental building design from Cairo University in Egypt. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
