Course Information

- The Study Tour course enrolment is for the Winter 2025 term
Part-time students have the option to enrol the course in either the Winter 2025 or Summer 2025 term - Students have the option to register the course as a 1.5 or 3.0 credit course
1.5 credits have fewer deliverables than the 3.0 credit course - Students are responsible for enrolling in the course once permission is granted from Student & Enrolment Services
Standard add/drop deadlines and regulations apply
The Chile Peru Study Tour 2025 dates are as follows:
- Four to five asynchronous online modules
- Mandatory synchronous pre-departure session in March
- Program dates in Chile & Peru: April 22 – May 1, 2025*
* Students must attend the Pre-Departure session and the full program of activities abroad
How to Register

- Students will be notified in advance by email, as to when registration opens. A link to the registration site will be provided
Step 2
- Students must reserve their space on the registration site, with a $500 deposit by credit card (final payment will be due at a later date)
- Once spaces fill, students can add their name to a waitlist
Step 3
You will be sent an email to enrol in the course through Passport York later in the term

Pre-Departure Preparation

Please complete the following steps:
- Attend the mandatory pre-Departure Session.
- Apply for required travel documents:
- It is your responsibility to research and apply for the correct travel document/visa to enter the destination countries. Do NOT delay in applying for your visa, as processing times may be lengthy.
- Make travel arrangements:
- It is your responsibility to fully understand the requirements to enter the destination countries and to make appropriate travel arrangements. We strongly encourage students to also purchase trip cancellation insurance, in case you are unable to travel (due to visa delays, unexpected border closures, etc).
- Obtain comprehensive travel health insurance.
- Submit the online Emergency Contact Form, Risk & Responsibility Waiver Form and Schulich Travel Registry
- Register with Foreign Affairs in your home country. Canadians travelling abroad can register here.
