Undergrad Case Teams Wins Big
After a spectacular week with the JDCC and MBA Games teams scoring 2nd place overall in their respective competitions, Schulich’s Undergraduate Case Competition team won 2nd and 3rd place in University of Toronto’s Live Case Competition last week.
Live Competition brings together students across the country to compete in multidisciplinary case rounds (i.e. finance, marketing, strategy, sales and operations), network with industry professionals and showcase their skills and talents to partners.
Schulich had three sponsored teams competing in this year’s competition, which included five overlapping rounds of cases over two days. Our students spent weeks preparing for this presentation, including their holiday break, to represent the School well in this competition. This is also the first year with School sponsorship and coaching.
“I am on cloud 9 with the exceptional performance of our teams in this competition,” shared Mona Afrouz, Marketing and Management Instructor at Schulich and Coach for the Live Case Competition. “They worked hard for weeks to earn their top spots amongst 10+ universities. I couldn’t be a prouder coach!”
The students who came in 2nd place were Shelly Keilikhis (BBA ’20), Liora Epel (BBA ’20), Aneesa Chohan (BBA ’21) and Sarah Lord (iBBA ’20). The students who placed 3rd were Anika Peng (BBA ’20), Ramisha Rashid (BBA ’20), Clarine Chan (BBA ’20) and Monica Peav (BBA ’20).
