The Master of Finance Partners with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP)
Schulich has reached an agreement with the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) to offer our Master of Finance (MF) students a curriculum that will prepare them for the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation.
The MF program will cover at least 70% of the FRM’s level one exam, preparing students for the two levels of the FRM exams upon graduation. Our students will have access to GARP’s online resources, be eligible for scholarships and fellowships, and receive invites to their networking events.
“We are very pleased to welcome Schulich to the GARP Partnership for Risk Education. The Master in Finance program is a highly rigorous program,” said William H. May, Senior Vice President of Global Head of Certifications and Educational Programs at GARP. “The curriculum provides a strong theoretical as well as applied knowledge base for its students. Upon completing this program, its students will be well-positioned to pursue the FRM designation and for the global risk management profession in general.”
GARP is the leading professional association for risk managers, dedicated to the advancement of the risk profession through education, research and the promotion of best practices globally.
“The increasing globalization and application of high technology in the financial sector have created the need for recognized qualifications for finance professionals,” shared Program Director, Melanie Cao. The Master of Finance degree is a “must-have” degree for people pursuing a career in asset management, capital markets and risk management. It not only provides the intensive industry grounding, but also offers curriculum for the accelerated CFA and FRM pathway to launch a successful career in modern financial industry.”
