Team Schulich Wins 2018 MBA Games
Team Schulich continued their dominance at the MBA Games 2018 hosted at the Telfer School of Management in Ottawa. For the seventh time in 16 years Schulich finished first overall in the three-day national competition against over 600 graduate students from 17 schools.
The MBA Games brings MBA students from across Canada together to compete against each other in academic (case competitions), athletic (basketball, volleyball, curling and dodgeball) and spirit competitions (opening ceremony dance, video, social media engagement and sportsmanship).
“I am so proud of our Schulich team. Every member worked very hard to prepare, and they all came together as a strong team,” said Team Schulich Case Coach Joe Fayt. “It is a real honour to win, particularly given the high calibre of teams competing from business schools across Canada.”
Team Schulich finished first in the Moosetube Video competition and the Diversity & Inclusion Case Competition; second in Strategy and Finance Case Competitions; third in dodgeball and volleyball; as well as raising $4,180 for The Moose Hide Campaign.
Schulich sent 39 participants to the games this year, an accomplishment that could not have been possible without the support from headline sponsor RBC. “We are proud to partner with RBC, whose world-class commitment to diversity and inclusion so closely aligns with Team Schulich’s values,” said Team Captain Catherine Sim.
