Schulich Team Heading to International Finals at L’Oreal Brandstorm 2022
Two teams from the Schulich School of Business BBA and iBBA Programs made it into the Top 10 at L’Oreal Brandstorm 2022 Canadian Finals.
L’Oreal Brandstorm is a worldwide innovation competition open to everyone up to 30 years old. Teams of three enter the competition and select from one of the three tracks – Inclusive, Green or Tech. The mission is to develop an unconventional solution that will “Disrupt Beauty 2030” and pitch it to the L’Oréal experts.
Of the two Schulich teams that made it into the Top 10, one team received 1st place for their inclusivity initiative! Leena Baber (3rd year), Syed Muhammad Asad (4th year) and Hudaifa Ahmad (3rd year), came up with an idea for a breakaway product or services that would empower inclusive beauty. The team is now preparing for the semi-final international competition taking place in May 2022, followed by the International Finals scheduled for June in Paris.
Asad says, “It has been an incredible few days competing and winning in the Inclusion stream. The competition allowed us to challenge ourselves as individuals while collaborating with each other to develop an idea that wasn’t only innovative but also strategic. It has been an amazing journey so far and we’re excited to make it to Paris!”
