Schulich Master of Business Analytics Recognized by the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence
The Schulich Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) has been recognized by the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence as a program that effectively prepares graduates with the skills and the competencies sought by employers of AI talent. Vector has been tasked with supporting Ontario’s growing AI community through a combination of activities, such as:
- talent placement via internships;
- networking and AI community-building; and
- applied AI education.
The AI Masters initiative aims to support the expansion of a diverse and highly skilled talent pool, helping Ontario-based companies and labs attract and retain top candidates in this burgeoning field. To support this goal, Vector launched the Vector Scholarships in Artificial Intelligence (VSAI).
These merit-based awards identify top candidates pursuing studies in a recognized AI-related Masters program, such as Schulich‘s 12-month MBAN program. The VSAI are valued at $17,500 for one year and are expected to increase access to AI advanced studies and build community among AI scholars.
“The Vector AI Masters recognition is an industry approval of our program’s capabilities to teach and prepare students in AI and related fields” said Professor Kristal. “This recognition shows the quality of our MBAN program and School.” Schulich has two students, Dezhong Chen and David Morton, who have already been awarded the Vector Scholarships in Artificial Intelligence.
Schulich MBAN graduates also earn a coveted SAS™ certification and gain exposure to R, SQL and Python. They are uniquely prepared to excel in functional roles that drive key business decisions, such as Forecasting Analysts, Business Intelligence Managers and Customer Analytics Leads.
