Schulich community helps stuff a bus for those in need
Schulich BBA students and alumni recently took the opportunity to stuff a bus full of non-perishable food items and hygiene products.
“I extended the invite to Schulich students and alumni to participate because they were in my consumer behaviour marketing class at Schulich,” said Akash Sidhu (BBA, MBA). “This way we can continue to develop those bonds, connect and do something worthwhile for the community. They were all amazing students who were eager to do more..”
In addition to teaching at Schulich, Sidhu is also the President of Generation No Limit, an organization that was formed in response to a desire to ensure food banks have more food on their shelves and fewer people go hungry.
Schulich students involved in the Stuff-A-Bus event include Minerva Dewan, Sahand Sadr, Ashlie Dhugga, Jessica Bajaj, Gunntaj Gill and Gabe Acierto. The students helped manage one of the donation locations and assisted with collection for the entire day.
“I decided to get involved in this amazing initiative as it feels great to be part of something that can help the people in need in our community,” said Dewan (BBA ’24). “As a leader, it is important to me to take initiative and make an impact. This experience was very rewarding, and it felt very satisfying to see the big difference our efforts made.”
