Schulich Celebrates Employer Partnerships at 2025 Appreciation Awards

The Schulich School of Business recently hosted its 2025 Employer Appreciation Awards 📸🔗 , honouring key industry partners for their outstanding contributions to student success and career development.
Co-hosted by the Centre for Career Design (CCD) and the Office of Professional Development and Experiential Education (PD&EE), the event brought together a broad network of recruiters, hiring managers, alumni, and corporate partners for an evening of recognition, connection, and reflection. The awards were held at The King York Terrace & Lounge in downtown Toronto.
The celebration featured remarks from Dean Detlev Zwick, a keynote address by Professor Stephen Friedman, and award presentations by Miles Collyer, Assistant Director, Corporate Relations, Centre for Career Design, and Dr. Minerva Cernea, Associate Director, Head of the Professional Development and Experiential Education Office.

“We know the market is changing. And we know uncertainty is the new norm,” said Dean Zwick. “That’s why we place a strong focus on preparing students with the strong skills, flexible mindset and adaptability today’s employers are looking for.”
A total of six organizations were recognized, with four awards presented by CCD and two by PD&EE. This year’s honourees included:
- Student Success Award – KPMG Canada
- Campus Engagement Award – Enterprise Mobility
- Outstanding New Recruitment Partner – Questrade
- Outstanding Contribution – P&G Canada
- Experiential Education Partnership Award – BDO
- Professional Development & Experiential Education Internship Award – DeloitteÂ

The event highlighted the scale and impact of Schulich’s employer engagement over the past academic year:
- Over 760 different companies posted full-time roles and internships for students
- 320 recruitment events were facilitated, including 50 on campus, featuring nearly 90 different employers
- More than 1,200 students participated in Schulich career fairs across a wide range of sectors
The collaboration between CCD and PD&EE continues to be central to Schulich’s commitment to embedding career development into the student experience. This includes new academic offerings like the Tech MBA and the Master of Health Industry Administration, as well as an expanded global alumni mentorship network and professional development integration within the classroom.
