Schulich BBA’s Make it to the Finals of JMUCC

A team of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Schulich BBA students has won their division in the John Molson International Undergraduate Case Competition (JMUCC). The team won against the Ivey School of Business (Western), Asper School of Business (Manitoba) and Chulalongkorn University (Thailand). The team was comprised of Aaditya Shah, Ananya Kakkar, Ayaan Popatiya and Madeline (Maddi) Yeung.
This is the first time Schulich has made it into the finals since being selected (by invitation only) for this competition in 2017.
The virtual competition included three challenging cases: a three-hour case, a five-hour case and one unique 24-hour session covering various industries and business disciplines. It involved 28 of the strongest business case competition teams from around the world.
The finals included teams from Smith School of Business (Queen’s), American University of Beirut (Lebanon), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), University College Cork (Ireland), National University of Singapore, and Rotman School of Business (U of T).
“Our team went in determined to make a statement and make Schulich proud,” said Mona E. Afrouz, Schulich Marketing and Management Instructor and Case Competition Program Director. “They exhibited professionalism, entrepreneurial spirit and truly showed the value of collaboration and student diversity as an incredible asset!”
