MEDIA ADVISORY – New Research on Reducing the Uncertainty Associated with Supply Chain Product Predictions
An article in the most recently released issue of Harvard Business Review highlights new research from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
The article, “Using Uncertainty Modeling to Better Predict Demand”, sheds light on the new concept of “uncertainty modelling” – a sophisticated statistical approach to data analytics that enables organizations to identify key parameters associated with data generation in order to reduce the uncertainty associated with predicting product demand and preventing supply chain disruption.
The article is written by Isik Bicer, Assistant Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems at the Schulich School of Business, together with Murat Tarakci, an associate professor of innovation management at Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University, and Ayhan Kuzu, a technology manager at Kordsa Inc.
Professor Bicer is available to provide expert commentary and insight regarding the research.
