MBAN Students Awarded Vector Institute’s $17,500 Scholarship
Two Master of Business Analytics students, Daniel Kur (MBAN ’20) and Revthi Jayarajan Palangat (MBAN ’20), are the recipients for this year’s Vector Scholarships in Artificial Intelligence (VSAI).
The Vector Institute awards scholarships to top students who are pursuing a full-time AI-related Master’s degree in Ontario. To be considered for this award, students had to be nominated by their program of study and submit a formal application that comprised of a written statement, referee reports and official transcript. Scholarships are valued at $17,500 for one full year of study.
Both students acknowledge this scholarship will greatly alleviate financial stress for the upcoming academic year, which will allow them to prioritize their studies. “I attribute my academic success so far to the emotional and financial support from my family,” said Palangat. “This scholarship will allow me to focus my efforts on learning, attending conferences, networking and giving back to the AI community without having to worry much about financial support.”
“I think that being part of a network of other Vector Scholarship holders will be an invaluable addition to my formal studies at Schulich in helping me reach my career goals,” shared Kur.
Congratulations, Daniel and Revthi! We wish you both every success with your studies.
