LinkedIn Ranks Schulich Among World’s Top 100 MBA Programs
LinkedIn has just unveiled its 2024 Top 100 MBA Programs, and the Schulich School of Business has placed 87th globally, while Stanford ranked 1st overall, followed by INSEAD and Harvard. The ranking, drawn from exclusive LinkedIn data, assesses the career outcomes of MBA alumni based on job placement rates, advancement to senior roles, and network strength, affirming Schulich’s continued commitment to shaping future business leaders.
“Our ranking in LinkedIn’s global Top 100 underscores Schulich’s position as a world-class institution dedicated to producing innovative leaders who drive positive change across industries,” said Dr. Detlev Zwick, Dean of the Schulich School of Business and Tanna H. Schulich Chair in Digital Marketing Strategy. “This is a testament to the transformative education we provide.”
LinkedIn’s ranking, based on platform data, focuses on five pillars:
- job placement,
- career advancement,
- network strength,
- leadership potential, and
- gender diversity
“At Schulich, we prioritize supporting personalized career pathways for every student,” said Hollis Sinker, Executive Director of Schulich’s Centre for Career Design. “Through one-on-one coaching, industry mentorships, and strategic career design, we ensure that our graduates not only meet but exceed the demands of today’s competitive job market.”
The global demand for MBA talent is increasing. The annual survey by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) reveals that one-third of international recruiters anticipate hiring more MBA graduates this year than they did last year. This increase reflects a rising focus on global business acumen, cross-cultural skills, and proficiency in technology and AI.
According to Linkedin, the number of senior leaders with an MBA has grown by 25% globally since 2010, while entrepreneurship among MBA graduates has surged by 45%. This trend reflects the rising value of an MBA education, with Schulich positioned as a leader of this growth in Canada.
To be eligible, MBA programs must be full-time programs and accredited by AACSB or Equis. Programs must have at least 1,500 total alumni, with at least 400 of them graduating within the recent cohort (2019-2023.) LinkedIn excludes executive MBAs, part-time MBAs, and certificate-based MBAs from their analysis. Depending on the specific metric in question, the methodology either encompasses all alumni or recent graduate cohorts, as defined by those who graduated between 2019 and 2023. This analysis represents the world seen through the lens of LinkedIn data, drawn from the anonymized and aggregated profile information of LinkedIn’s members around the world.
