Kellogg-Schulich EMBA Student Gains a New Outlook on Life
After returning from Germany, Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA student, Arjun Wadhwa (EMBA ’19), believes the program delivered what was promised to him from the beginning – a truly global experience.
The Kellogg-Schulich cross-border EMBA program is a partner in the Kellogg School of Management’s global network of EMBA programs. Students have the opportunity to learn from and interact with business leaders at different campuses around the world.
Wadhwa travelled to the Kellogg-WHU EMBA Program in Germany for the annual international weeklong event, the Germany Global Network Week, that convenes students from the entire Kellogg Global Network of Executive MBA Programs. He had the chance to immerse in the culture, take global electives—The Business Environment in Europe, Entrepreneurial Finance, Luxury Brand Management—and to reconnect with his classmates from other schools.
“Even though I was in another country, they made it feel like home,” shared Wadhwa. “The diverse work experience of my peers offered different perspectives, which took our in-class discussions to the next level.” He believes the relationships he has built is one of the many unique advantages to the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA Program.
“If I wanted to do business in another country, like Hong Kong, I now have a network I can tap into. This trip showed me why this program is number one. It’s not a metric that they are meeting, but the value that they are delivering.”
Wadhwa also credits the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA Program for his new outlook on life. “Before I joined this program, I felt like a hamster on a wheel. The program helped me think big and establish strategic compass points for my career hence resulting in a position and salary increase while still in school” he says. “Schulich played a positive role, and ultimately changed my attitude towards my family, career and life.”
