BBA Alum Leads Fast-Moving Content for Fast-Moving Fashion
After starting a family business in the clothing sector in 2018, Schulich alumni Khasan Aripov (BBA ’14) and his family faced the struggle of sourcing quality product photography. They discovered that the industry was inefficient and could be improved significantly, for both clients and photographers. Ultimately, they developed a cost-effective approach that allowed them to exponentially increase the volume and quality of content created, which in turn appealed to other retailers.
When the pandemic struck, Airpov and his team were ready to introduce their state-of-the-art platform solution – StylePhotos, a fully contactless e-commerce studio that vastly reduces the cost of traditional photography. “Our large clients utilize our services due to the speed, consistency, and cost-effective approach that we employ,” said Khasan. “We landed our first large client in November of 2019, and since then have grown significantly.”
For many recognized brands, StylePhotos has become an “in-house” studio without the costly overhead expenses. They have already worked with companies such as Puma, Canadian Tire, National Sports, and ProHockeyLife.
Schulich was the only School Khasan wanted to attend when his family immigrated to Canada in 2007. His brother, who is a Co-Founder of the business completed his BBA and MBA at Schulich. “The faculty and staff embraced the values of innovation, leadership, and inclusiveness,” said Khasan. “I gained the necessary skills and knowledge to help me in my corporate career and then lead a number of tech start-ups.”
Khasan is also a member of our Schulich Startups community and was featured at the Schulich Idea Jam, sponsored by OneCore Media & Zeifmans.
