EMBA Graduate Lands New Role in California
As the global landscape continues to transform the way we do business, the education we receive must reflect those changes. Building a global network has never been more prevalent. Recent Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA (EMBA) graduate, Arjun Wadhwa (EMBA ’19), spent the last decade nurturing his global network while honing his skills as an engineer.
Born and raised in India, Arjun worked as a Mechanical Engineer in nine different countries prior to moving to Canada six years ago. Although the Schulich School of Business is located in Toronto, Arjun resided in Edmonton while completing his degree. “Schulich’s EMBA program is ranked #1 Canada and is located in Canada’s financial hub, which made for an easier commute every other weekend,” said Arjun.
The desire to complement his technical skills with business knowledge and international connections is what fueled Arjun’s motivation to pursue an EMBA with a global network. “Schulich just felt right from the very first week I arrived. I was surrounded by a wide array of professionals from around the world who brought different perspectives to each case study,” said Arjun.
The Kellogg- Schulich Executive MBA opened numerous opportunities for Arjun. He was heavily recruited by many companies and headhunters upon graduation. He recently accepted a role at Elliot Group in California as their new Service Centre Manager. “Because of my Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA my profile became a lot more desirable. Not only did I have a Canadian degree and experience, I also had a reputable US brand behind me,” said Arjun. “The Kellogg-Schulich brand provides so much value and exposure that it helped reshape my position in the market.”
