CDC Launches Academic Partnership with Obie & Ax
The Career Development Centre (CDC) has formed an academic partnership with Obie & Ax to exclusively recruit talent at Schulich. Obie & Ax Inc. is a full-service firm focused on producing podcasts and collaborating with leading brands, charities and government agencies including the FBI, NASA, Toronto Police, Bombardier, Philip Morris International and Lockheed Martin.
“We are pleased with our recruiting partnership with Obie & Ax,” said Rob Hines, Executive Director of the CDC. “They represent leading edge thinking in the world of podcasting. Our students are fortunate to be offered the opportunity to work in their dynamic environment and be able to develop their skills working with the Obie & Ax team.”
Obie & Ax will recruit from all Schulich programs. In the past, CDC has posted roles such as Sales/Market Researcher, Operational Marketing/Project Managers and Junior Podcast Producers. Two Schulich MBAs are currently employed by the company as Finance Manager and Project Manager.
“The talent Schulich students display is nothing short of astonishing and we are extremely lucky to have them on our team,” said Andy O’Brien, CEO and Founder. “They will come face-to-face with some of the most influential leaders on the planet with the full support of the Obie & Ax senior management. We are the first to market and largest full-service podcast firm in North America, so it allows the kids to display full creativity with a little added swagger.”
Schulich will also be hosting a TedTalk event with O’Brien in Fall 2021.
