CDC Hosts Annual Recruiter Appreciation Event
The Career Development Centre (CDC) recently hosted their annual Recruiter Appreciation Event to acknowledge organizations who have graciously committed their time and resources to our students this academic year.
The Innovation Award was given to RBC for engaging our students in unique multi-faceted ways. RBC launched an on-campus store to provide services to our students ranging from financial literacy to health and wellness. RBC’s recurring touch points year-round through events and initiatives, such as celebrating women and through the Capital Markets diversity scholarships, have helped strengthen their level of connectedness within the Schulich community. |
Laura Kay of National Bank received the Outstanding Contribution Award for the mentorship initiatives she has provided our students throughout the year. She has advocated for them within her organization, worked closely with our student clubs, offered multiple workshops on soft skills development, and been a champion in promoting women in capital markets through Schulich events. |
Based on a School-wide vote, the Student Engagement Award went to Deloitte. They hosted many workshops throughout the year to provide students with ample opportunities to meet their recruiters. Our students praised the organization for being readily available to answer their questions through numerous channels (i.e. a dedicated Schulich Facebook group) and informing them of upcoming events. |
The CDC also acknowledged students who have depicted an executive presence through their demeanor and actions this year. The Executive Presence Award was presented to Kikeloye Oyerinde (IMBA ‘20), with Daniela Garcia (MBA ’20) and Megan Foley (MMgt ’19) as runners-up.
Congratulations to our 2018-19 winners! Without your commitment to our School, our accomplishments would not be possible.
