Arts, Media & Entertainment Management Program’s 2020 Virtual Graduation Ceremony
On Monday June 15th the Arts, Media & Entertainment Management Program (AM&E) at the Schulich School of Business celebrated their 2020 graduates with a virtual graduation event.
Due to Covid-19 our 2020 AM&E students, along with the entire Schulich community, had to transition to a virtual learning environment which ultimately meant that they would not be able to participate in the traditional convocation ceremony upon graduation.
To ensure that the momentous occasion of completing their MBA degree didn’t go un-celebrated we created a virtual graduation ceremony with guest speakers and a virtual-stage walk.
Students were celebrated by The Honourable Patricia Bovey, Senator, Manitoba and Trina McQueen O.C., Bell Media Professor in Media Management and program Co-Director, who were joined by graduates, family and friends, including their four-legged family members (we believe a first for a graduation ceremony).
The event was hosted by long time program (Co-) Director Joyce Zemans C.M., who retired June 30th and for whom it was her last official convocation as director. Graduates and their families, from across Canada and around the world, were able to celebrate, and toast, the AM&E class of 2020.
Special thanks go out to Senator Bovey, Prof. McQueen and graduating student Gaurav Dharmani, who created our invitation, virtual stage-walk and the final event video.
Congratulations, once again, to our class of 2020!
