Abi Sriharan
Professor Abi Sriharan (D.Phil, Oxford) is an internationally recognized management scholar and thought leader in strategic human resources and talent management. She is currently a Senior Scientist and Research Director at the Krembil Centre for Health Management and Leadership. Before joining the Schulich School of Business, she was a faculty member at the University of Toronto and the Northeast Ohio Medical University. She has over 15 years of executive experience in the health and financial sectors in Canada and the USA. Most recently, Dr. Sriharan was the Program Director of the Systems Leadership and Innovation program at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation University of Toronto.
Her research focuses on the talent management issues related high-performance workforce. Her research is funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Research, Associated Medical Services, Social Science and Humanities Research Council. Her work has been covered in well-known media outlets, including the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, CTV News, and Global TV. She has received awards for her research from the Global Alliance for Medical Education, the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Civic Engagement from the University of Oxford, and the President’s Award from the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions. In 2022, she was named a Connaught Global Scholar for her research on AI and the future of work in the health sector.
Dr. Sriharan has designed and delivered executive education and graduate education programs on complex systems, leadership and talent management in Canada, the US, the UK, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, China, Turkey, and Egypt. In recognition of her teaching leadership, in 2021, she received the Eugene Stuart Program Leadership Award from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Sriharan also has 15 years of extensive global experience in serving on the board of and advising the management teams of health sector organizations and multinational agencies.
