Luke Zhu
Dr. Luke Zhu is the Associate Dean of Programs, Program Director of the Master of Management, and an Associate Professor of Organization Studies at the Schulich School of Business, York University. In addition to his university appointments, he serves the broader scientific community as an Associate Editor of Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes (OBHDP).
In his administrative roles, Dr. Zhu is tasked with ensuring that Schulich’s degree program portfolio reflects the School’s philosophy of business education, offers cutting-edge knowledge, and is responsive to the evolving needs of business and society. The development of new program offerings and modifications to existing program offerings are two key types of innovation initiatives that are central to this role.
As a scholar, Dr. Zhu’s research focuses on business ethics, diversity, and artificial intelligence. His work includes empirical investigations into the psychological and sociological foundations of workplace (un)ethical behavior, the causes of and interventions for gender and racial discrimination in organizations, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the workplace. His research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals in organizational behavior, including Journal of Applied Psychology and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes; in psychology journals such as Cognition and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology; and in interdisciplinary outlets such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), one of the world’s most prestigious scientific journals. Beyond academic publications, Dr. Zhu’s research has been featured in prominent media outlets including Harvard Business Review, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and The Guardian.
