Richard Ross

Ross has 40 years of progressive experience in the mining industry. He was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inmet Mining Corporation for ten years. For the ten years prior to this, he held a number of financial executive roles in Inmet,  including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Before Inmet, he worked at Placer Dome Inc. In addition to his position as Chairman of the Board of Inmet, he has held a number of Board of Director’s positions in both public and non–‐profit organizations including the Chairman of the Mining Association of Canada and Chairman of the St. Joseph’s Health Centre.

Ross received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1982 while working at Price Waterhouse and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 1980. He is now devoting his time, energy and passion for the mining industry to the development and direction of the Global Metals and Minerals Management MBA Program at York University’s Schulich School of Business.
