Chris Carder is a Serial Entrepreneur with more than 20 years’ experience in the Digital/Technology Sector and a sought-after Startup Advisor, Investor and Advisory Board Member.
Chris currently serves as Executive Director of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship with the Schulich School of Business, where he is also an award-winning Adjunct Professor.
With Schulich, Chris supports a portfolio of more than 200 Student/Alumni companies and is also the Creator of ‘Together’ a flagship partnership with Startup India (Government of India) which has trained more than 500 young social impact entrepreneurs in India in the past three years.
Chris is also a Special Advisor on Entrepreneurship and Innovation to the Office of the President at York University and works closely with the leadership team of YSpace (York University’s Accelerator Program).
Chris is also known for his work in the public sector, having co-designed and launched ‘Accelerate Newmarket’ which has supported more than 300 startups in York Region.
He also Co-Designed/Created ‘Digital Main Street’ alongside the City of Toronto (which eventually grew to a national program supporting 1000’s of small business in Canada).
Chris is also a Special Advisor to ‘MindFrame Connect’, the national program on Mentorship launched by Dalhousie University.
He currently serves as a Venture Partner with Antler Canada and Good News Ventures.
Chris is the past President & Co-Founder of ThinData (Canada’s largest email marketing services provider) – acquired by TC Media (Transcontinental) in 2008 and the past Co-Chair of the International White Ribbon Campaign (working to end men’s violence against women and children).
