Description This course examines Canadian arts and cultural policy. Topics include the historical development of cultural policy; the formulation and execution of municipal, provincial and federal policies; and current issues and strategies for the future in the arts and cultural industries. The course has a research focus. Where appropriate, policy models in the UK, the US, Europe and Asia will also be analyzed. Prerequisite: ARTM 6301 3.00 or permission of the instructor
