SCHULICH CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH

This month serves as an opportunity to reflect on the achievements, contributions, and experiences of black individuals who have shaped and continue to shape our world. As part of our celebration, we planned a series of virtual and in-person events that highlight the impact of black leaders, artists, and trailblazers. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to connect with other alumni and engage in meaningful conversations about black history and culture.

Events are organized by Schulich Black Graduate Students, and we welcome all graduates from Schulich’s Black Graduate Network (BGBN), Schulich MBA and 1-Year Masters students, and Schulich Undergraduate students. These events are for current Schulich students, Schulich Alumni and supporters of the black community at York University to inspire current students on the opportunities available by showcasing and highlighting the successes of black people in the diaspora.

Benefits of attending:

  • Network virtually with a diverse group of Schulich alumni who work and identify as black people in our community.
  • Hear from faculty and alums on trends and challenges affecting businesses and corporate organizations.
  • Learn more about the implementation; York university has a collective commitment to address anti-Black racism and to facilitate the engagement of the Black community at York by creating inclusive and equitable spaces for Black scholars in our community to flourish.
  • Learn more about Schulich’s alum chapter, members of the BGBN and our contribution to supporting the black community at York University.
