Schulich prof appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief of Top Accounting Journal
Marcia Annisette, Associate Dean, Students and Program Director of the Master of Accounting program at Schulich, has been appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief of Accounting, Organizations and Society (AOS), a leading international journal devoted to the behavioural, organizational and social aspects of Accounting. AOS is one of the select journals on the Financial Times of London Top 50 list of academic and practitioner business journals.
“I was both honoured and humbled to be selected Co-Editor-in-Chief by the Editors of Accounting, Organizations & Society (AOS), who are without doubt the top scholars in the field. I look forward to working with the Editorial team to further develop the interdisciplinary accounting research project and its scholarly community through the vehicle of AOS,” said Professor Annisette.
Accounting, Organizations & Society is concerned with all aspects of the relationship between accounting and human behaviour, organizational structures and processes, and the changing social and political environment of the enterprise.
“The Accounting Area at the Schulich School of Business has long been known to be the preeminent academic unit in Canada for producing high-quality interdisciplinary accounting research,” said Professor Annisette. “My appointment to this position merely confirms the academic unit’s world class credentials and Schulich’s global leadership in supporting and promoting innovative and socially relevant research.”
