Forbes Ranks Schulich #1 in Canada and among the top in the world
Forbes magazine has ranked the Schulich School of Business #1 in Canada and 8th in the world among two-year MBA programs outside the US. Schulich was also jointly ranked 4th in the world among all 2-year MBA programs (both US and non-US) in terms of “Years To Payback” – the length of time it takes a business school’s graduates to recoup their investment in an MBA degree.
The 2017 Forbes “Best Business Schools” global ranking surveyed 17,500 MBA graduates from the Class of 2012 from more than 100 business schools around the world and calculated their Return on Investment using two different measures: 5-Year MBA Gain and Years to Payback.
According to the Forbes ranking results, Schulich had the highest 5-Year MBA Gain and the best Years to Payback among both 1-year and 2-year MBA programs in Canada. In terms of the 5-Year MBA Gain category, Schulich ranked 8th among two-year MBA programs outside the US. Schulich graduates reported an average 5-Year MBA Gain of US $48,700, which represented post-MBA compensation over a five-year period minus the costs associated with attending business school. In the Years to Payback category, which measures how quickly graduates recoup their investment in an MBA degree, Schulich had a payback period of 3.5 years – 4th best in the world among all two-year MBA programs (both US and non-US).
“Forbes has once again rated the Return on Investment provided by a Schulich MBA degree as one of the best in the world,” said Schulich Dean Dezsö J. Horváth. “For MBA students, the Return on Investment they receive after graduating is a significant factor when determining the value of their degree. The latest Forbes survey captures an important statistical measure of the return on investment our MBA students can expect once they graduate.”
