Patrick, or ‘Patch’, has spent over 15 years as a professional performer, creator and organizer in the music, theatre and film/TV industries. His career began while pursuing a BFA Honours, Specializing in Music, at York University, with training continuing at Pro Actors Lab, The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, and Canada’s Music Incubator.
Patch returned to York University to complete an MA in Musicology, an MBA and a Graduate Diploma in Arts, Media & Entertainment Management. In 2017, he began to advise Mycelia for Music, the non-profit launched by British artist-producer-innovator Imogen Heap, becoming the ambassador and organizer in Canada for their Creative Passport initiatives. He was a project lead for London-based start-up JAAK, working in research and solutions for music rights management.
He works as a consultant, artist manager, music reviewer, and educator. He is an active participant in various professional associations, workshops, international festivals and conferences, particularly through Music Managers Forum Canada, CIMA, and Music Ontario. He serves as a juror for FACTOR grant applications and is a Friend of The Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors. In 2021, he received a Certificate in Entertainment Law from Osgoode PD.
