Trina McQueen has been a leader in both arts and media organizations. In her media career she was head of News at CBC and President of CTV. She has served on numerous arts and media boards, including CBC, Canadian Stage, TVO, Historica, the Banff Centre of Creativity, Telefilm Canada, and the Canadian Opera Company. These connections have enabled her to bring excellent guest speakers to her classes. Her work has earned her four honourary degrees, from Carleton, Mount St. Vincent, Waterloo and York, and other awards: including from the Director’s Guild and from Women in Film and Television. She has also received the Order of Canada.
