Peter Schneider is a Business & Rights Manager for CBC English Services where he works with production teams for unscripted, documentary and factual programming to negotiate commissioning, co-production, licensing and format agreements with Canadian and international partners.
Prior to CBC, Peter was Vice-President of Business & Legal Affairs for Cineflix Productions where he negotiated broadcast licenses, talent agreements and intellectual property deals with partners including AETN, BBC, CBC, CNBC, Discovery, Hallmark, ITV, Lifetime, National Geographic, Netflix and Oxygen.
Previously he advised Nelvana and Corus on intellectual property exploitation strategies, managed the business affairs group for CineNova Productions and practiced corporate law at Gowling WLG.
Peter has been an adjunct professor at the Schulich School of Business since 2017 teaching in the Arts, Media and Entertainment Management program.
