Last week the division of Student Services and International Relations honoured student volunteers who participated in the Graduate Ambassador Program during the 2016-2017 academic year.

Master of Management candidate Michael Zanella was named the recipient of the $500 Outstanding Graduate Ambassador Award in recognition of his exemplary contributions to the Schulich community.

Graduate Ambassadors are a select group of student leaders who work to enhance the prospective and current student experience. Their duties include recruitment support, assisting with orientation events, and connecting 1-on-1 with prospective and incoming students from around the world.

“The Graduate Ambassador Program is a fun way to give back to an awesome community.”

Michael has been one of the program’s most active, collegial and engaged volunteers. He has participated in program webinars, led guests on engaging building tours, and shared his experiences as a student panelist at Schulich’s graduate open house in March.

For Michael, giving so freely of his time has been a natural and rewarding part of his life at Schulich.

“Not only does the Graduate Ambassador Program offer a fun way to interact and give back to an awesome community, it’s a unique opportunity to network and build soft skills for post-graduation employment.”
